Brio Holiday Fundraiser Supports CTC Programs

A boost for the Chatham-Kent Children’s Treatment Centre, thanks to students from the Brio Academy.

Students and families from the creative arts school hosted a virtual holiday concert just before Christmas, featuring performances from some of the dance, musical theatre, and drama classes.

“Many of our families have been touched by the work the CTC does, and everyone jumped at the chance to work on this initiative,” says Brio founder and artistic director, Rachel Schwarz says. “We are so proud of our incredible Brio students, families and faculty, and touched by the generosity of everyone who donated.”

The Merry & Bright fundraiser, which included a broadcast on YourTV, raised $5000 for programs at the Treatment Centre.

“It is critical that our kids continue to receive the best care possible when they need it most,” Mike Genge, president of the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation says. This donation and the support from Brio means families continue to receive connection, comfort and support through accessing these services.”
