Brochure Swap Encouraging Local Tourism

Municipal officials are celebrating Tourism Week across Canada.

Supervisor of Tourism Development, Shannon Paiva says a brochure swap is being held tomorrow night at the Capitol Theatre.

“This is a chance for businesses to get out there, get their tourism brochures out to us so we can put them in the 23 kiosks across the Municipality. They get to do that for free – we put them out. But then they can give other businesses their brochures and pamphlets as well. The public portion opens up at 5:30 pm and it’s all taking place at the Chatham Capitol Theatre,” says Paiva.

Paiva says for the public, it’s a great chance for residents to learn more about what’s going on around the community this summer.

“Take a detour through Chatham-Kent. So many people forget what is in our own backyard and the hidden gems we have,” Paiva says.
