A cable barrier on the 401 is credited with preventing a cross-over collision over the weekend.
Just before 1:30 Sunday afternoon, OPP say a westbound transport blew a tire near Mull Road, sending the rig into the centre median.
Authorities say the driver was able to bring the vehicle to the stop while the cable barrier kept the truck from going into the eastbound lanes.
No one was hurt, and the OPP say no charges will be laid.
