Everything kicks off on two fronts tonight with Canada Day fireworks being held in Tilbury and Ridgetown, starting at dusk.

Both those communities are also hosting daytime festivals on Saturday. Chatham’s fireworks display goes Saturday night at St Clair College. A display is also being held at Clearville Campground.

For Canada Day on Sunday, events are being held across the municipality, including the Wallaceburg festivities in Kinsmen Park, followed by fireworks at night; the Chatham parade kicks off at 10:30, with events in Tecumseh Park starting at noon; and festivities are also being held at Glad Tidings Community Church in Blenheim, capped off by fireworks once the sun sets.

Friday, June 29th

Ridgetown: parade starts on Main Street East at 6:30, fireworks begin at dusk at the Ridgetown Fairgrounds behind the arena

Tilbury: Canada Day parade begins at 7 o’clock on Queen Street, fireworks will be held at Memorial Park at dusk.

Saturday, June 30th

Chatham: Live music begins at St Clair College at 8 o’clock, Fireworks begin at 9:45.

Clearville: Fireworks will be held at Clearville Park starting at dusk.

Ridgetown: The Main Street Market runs from 8am-4pm with vendors and entertainment in downtown Ridgetown.

Tilbury: Tilbury BIA holding its Canada Day celebrations and street concert from 10am-5pm on Queen Street.

Sunday, July 1st

Blenheim: Canada Day celebrations at Glad Tidings Community Church. Family-friendly fun begins at 6pm, birthday cake at 8:30, fireworks begin at dusk.

Chatham: Canada Day parade begins at 10:30 on Dover Street, across the 3rd Street Bridge, down King Street and wrapping up at Tecumseh Park. Entertainment and festivities in the park run from noon until 9pm.

Erieau: The Erieau Fire Fireman’s Association Fireworks take place Sunday evening at the Laverne Kelly Memorial Park, starting at dusk.

Ridgetown: Canada Day begins with an open air church service at Emmanuel Church on Erie Street North at 10:30. The Highgate Ag Society’s roast beef dinner runs from 5-7 at the Highgate Fairgrounds.

Wallaceburg: Wallaceburg Lions Club and Progressive Ford Canada Day Family Festival. Opening ceremonies at Kinsman Park start at 3 o’clock followed by entertainment, vendors, face painting, inflatables, and more. Fireworks begin at dusk.
