Chatham-Kent council approved the 2022 capital budget during their regular online council meeting.
The capital budget features a number of priority construction and special projects that the municipality plans on taking on this year.
For 2022, the assumed capital budget is $8.45 million.
Among the projects being recommended to go forward in the capital budget include: Lake Erie shoreline improvements, electronic records management improvements, 911 upgrades, Tilbury stormwater improvements, construction of new park facilities in new subdivisions and road upgrades.
