Charges have been laid after a car slammed into a hydro pole in Chatham.
Police responded to a single vehicle collision on Colborne Street last night. The driver allegedly walked away from the scene and was found at a nearby home.
Authorities say he appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was taken to headquarters for tests.
An 18-year-old is now facing charges if impaired driving and released with a date in court later this month.
Damage from the crash has been pegged at $33,000.
