Charges have now been laid following a crash on Friday that shut down a section of road between Chatham and Tilbury.
Emergency crews responded to Queens Line near Merlin Road around 8 o’clock Friday morning and say a driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a hydro pole.
Crews from Hydro One were called in to replace the pole.
No one was hurt in the crash.
The 28-year-old driver has since been charged with careless driving.
