Unionized staff at the Gateway Casino in Dresden have ratified a new contract.
Unifor Local 444 President James Stewart says it’s the end of a pretty short process.
“We have been bargaining for the last couple weeks, and we ratified with the group on Sunday so it was a good ratification number,” says Stewart. “A number of workplace changes, wage increases, 2% a year a pension increase in the last year, a contributory match of 1%”
Members voted 94.4% in favour of the three-year deal, which covers slot attendants, technicians, dealers, servers, and housekeeping staff.
