The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is going forward with their plans to close St. Joseph Catholic School in Chatham.

The students and faculty at St. Joe’s will move to St. Ursula in the fall, while Georges. P Vanier students will stay at their current location for now.

The long term goal is to move all three schools into a single location in the southern part of Chatham. However, that plan has hit some roadblocks as the board continues to search for a suitable location.

Meantime, Construction on Chatham’s north-end school is well underway and on schedule to welcome the students of Our Lady of Fatima, St. Vincent and St. Agnes.
