Catholic School Job Action Coming

As public high school teachers continue rotating one-day strikes across the province, their English Catholic counterparts are stepping up their own job action.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association has announced that unless a tentative agreement is reached, members will be taking administration job action starting on Monday.

Officials say that includes taking part in any activities related to EQAO standardized tests or taking part in any other Ministry of Education initiatives.

The union represents some 45-thousand teachers in elementary and high schools across the province, including the St Clair Catholic District School Board.
