A popular television show focusing on community resilience is coming to Walpole Island.
Officials have announced the CBC show Still Standing will be filming in the First Nations territory June 18 through 23, taking in the annual Solstice Celebration, and interviewing WIFN staff, elders, artists, and other members of the community.
A stand-up comedy segment will be taped in front of a live audience with host Jonny Harris, although a specific date for that portion of the program has not yet been released.
Still Standing first aired in 2015, showcasing small towns across Canada and is now filming its 12th season.
