A special celebration is being held at libraries across Chatham-Kent next week.
Monday, January 27 is Family Literacy Day, raising awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.
Officials say taking time every day to read or do a learning activity with children is crucial to a child’s development.
A number of events are being held at branches across the municipality, including Dog Man-themed activities in Chatham, Bluey games and activities in Ridgetown and Highgate, and blind date with a book at libraries in Tilbury and Wheatley.
You can see the full schedule of Literacy Day events and activities on the Chatham-Kent Public Library website at ckpl.ca.
