A special art exhibit will be opening in downtown Chatham, coinciding with Pride Week CK.
A partnership between the Thames Art Gallery and CK Pride, Queer Portraits is a juried, pop-up exhibition, highlighting artworks that celebrate, reflect, or explore connections to Chatham‑Kent’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Work from 14 artists were selected for the exhibition with methods represented including painting, poetry, sculpture, fashion design, and mixed media.
The exhibit will be on display August 21 through 23, with an opening reception to be held in the Rotary Lounge at the Chatham Capitol Theatre on Friday evening, starting at 7pm.
A People’s Choice Award will be announced Saturday afternoon.
