A special celebration is being held this week to honour local students who are giving back to the community.
Thursday marks the inaugural Youth Community Recognition Awards.
High school principals in the municipality were asked to nominate a student who puts time and effort in volunteering. Municipal officials say over 40 schools will be represented with one or two students from each school honoured.
The awards ceremony takes place at the Chatham Capitol Theatre, starting at 7 o’clock tomorrow night.
