Charges have now been laid in connection to a deadly crash this past summer.
The morning of August 16th, a cement truck and SUV collided on Queens Line near the 401 overpass.
Authorities say the cement truck was heading westbound when the vehicle veered into the eastbound lanes, struck the SUV, and came to rest in a cornfield.
The SUV spun into the southbound ditch and the driver, a 55-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old Scarborough man, has now been charged with dangerous driving causing death and criminal negligence causing death.
He’ll appear in court on Monday.
