The Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce is welcoming back Board Chair Cecily Coppola for a second term.
Coppola says they’ve already set their direction for the next year.
“2019 we’re focusing on self reflection and discovering our ‘why’. Why after 120 years are we here and why do we matter. Really looking to seek out some member feedback, part of our strategic plan is to send out some surveys and have a check in point half way through the year and end of the year as well. To see how we’re meeting needs and how we could be doing things better. What our members are looking for in terms of a chamber,” says Coppola.
She says the Chamber is also on working on continuing their advocacy efforts to bring the voice of Chatham-Kent businesses to the forefront.
“One of the things we’re going to be working on is to continuing strengthening our relationships with local government and also our trisectoral partnerships with business, non profit and government and our advocacy efforts. We’re a member of the Ontario Chamber of commerce and working with that partnership there to make sure we’re bringing the voice of Chatham-Kent business to the forefront.”
