Chatham-Kent residents can expect to see a change to their water and wastewater rates sometime this year.

The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) will be submitting a revision to the CK’s Water and Wastewater Rates By-law “to amend certain fees” during its next meeting on January 18.

PUC officials have declined to elaborate further on how the rates will be affected by the revision.

Before a revision to the bylaw can be passed, the PUC is required to hold at least one public meeting to allow the public to provide input. Notice of the meeting must also be posted online at least 14 days in advance.
