Changes In Ambulatory Care Services Start Monday

Starting Monday morning, ambulatory services at the two hospitals in Chatham-Kent will be reducing hours of service.

The fact there are over 40 staff members self-isolating due to the COVID-19 outbreaks in the COVID unit and the medical unit has caused a staff shortage.

The affected staff will be reassigned to help with patients for the time being. Other areas like emergency, the cancer unit, and dialysis will not be effected.

While the ambulatory services in Wallaceburg and Chatham will be combined at the Chatham site for right now, the Wallaceburg Ambulatory Care Victorian Order of Nurses Clinics will not be affected.

If any appointments need to be rescheduled, you will receive a call from your doctor’s office and kept up on any and all changes.
