A Windsor man is facing an impaired driving charge following a traffic stop in Chatham-Kent.
The Ontario Provincial Police said on Saturday at around 10:49 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding in the westbound lanes of Highway 401.
Authorities allege the driver failed a roadside screening test and was taken into custody for further testing at police headquarters.
A 59-year-old Windsor man is now charged with speeding and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg. He has also received a 90-day license suspension and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
The accused has been released from custody with a future court date.
