
A local man is facing charges after another man was struck with a chair in Tilbury.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a business on Mill Street West shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, following the assault.
According to authorities, employees asked a man to leave, but instead, he assaulted a 57-year-old man by throwing a chair at him. The victim suffered minor injuries.
As a result, a 34-year-old Tilbury man was located by officers and arrested. He is now charged with assault and assault with a weapon. He was later released from custody with an April court date.
