A local man is facing several charges after another man was stabbed at a Chatham home.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the two men got into an argument that escalated into a fight Wednesday evening. One of the men stabbed the other with a knife and threatened a woman who was also in the home.

The stabbing victim, a 32-year-old Chatham man,  was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A 29-year-old man from Chatham was arrested and is now charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with release conditions. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
