Two people are facing charges following a family fight in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Police were called to a Vanier Drive home shortly after 10:30 Tuesday morning and arrived to find a man in the driveway. Further investigation found earlier this month, the man had been released from police custody with conditions including not attending that address, communicating with the resident, or being within a specific distance of the resident.

Authorities say the woman living in the home was letting the man stay with her, despite knowing his release orders.

The 32-year-old man has since been charged with five counts of failing to comply with a release order and was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The woman, a 54-year-old, is charged with facilitating a breach of a release order. She will be back in court next month.
