A Chatham man has been arrested following a theft from a local business.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the theft at a business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham at around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to authorities, a man entered the store, selected alcoholic beverages, and left without attempting to pay.
A suspect was later located and arrested. The 57-year-old Chatham man is now charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was later released from custody with an October court date.
