A Dresden man has been arrested in connection to a stolen Black Lives Matter flag from downtown Dresden.

The flag, which had been placed at the corner of Main and North as part of a Dresden Shines display promoting diversity and inclusion, was taken on June 20th. The flag had also been ripped down the day before and was found in a garbage can.

Chatham-Kent Police were able to identify the man they believe responsible. A 41-year-old Dresden man is charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He’ll be n court next month to answer to the charges.
