A Walpole Island man is facing charges stemming from a Christmas Eve car theft and collision. 
Police say a Good Samaritan stopped at the scene of the crash on Baseline Road and while attempting to help, was accosted by the 34-year-old suspect.
Police say the suspect forced the driver from his car and sped from the scene, abandoning the vehicle a few hours later.
He’ll be in a Sarnia court later this month to answer to charges of robbery, theft, failure to comply and more.
