Charges have been laid after a child was allegedly assaulted at a daycare in Sarnia. 
Authorities say a two and a half year old child was beaten at the Jerry McCaw Family Centre last month.
Following a joint investigation between Sarnia Police and the Sarnia Lambton Children’s Aid Society, a 40-yer-old woman has been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
Police say victim suffered minor injuries which did not require medical attention.
