A new gas station in Charing Cross is one step closer to reality.
Chatham-Kent Council has approved the rezoning for a proposed gas station and convenience store at the site of the former Sweden Freeze restaurant.
The next step will before the issue to come back to council to approve the site plan for the property.
Councillors said they felt it was important for residents to have an opportunity to have a say about what the project is going to look like.
