Fire fighters are on the scene of a blaze on Charing Cross Road this morning. 
Crews from Station #18 in Blenheim and #16 Raleigh South were called to the home around 5 o’clock this morning.
Emergency crews are asking motorists heading to or from Chatham to avoid the area and take Communication Road instead.
According to Chatham-Kent Police, the road is expected to be closed north of Middle Line for several hours.
