Chatham Businesses Targetted by Thieves

Authorities are trying to track down whoever forced their way into Tepperman’s in Chatham.

An alarm went off at the Grand Avenue East furniture store just after 1 o’clock this morning.

Two glass doors had been smashed in, causing about $1200 in damage.

The only thing reported missing is a pair of PS3 earbuds valued at $600.

Meantime, about $1000 in damage has been done to a Chatham-based farm market.

Chatham-Kent Police say someone broke into the greenhouse at Sarah’s Farm Market on Sandys Street sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

The culprits got away with close to $800 worth of merchandise.
