The for sale sign has gone up at a former Chatham Catholic school.
The St Clair Catholic District School Board has officially listed the old St Agnes School on the market.
Under provincial regulations, boards have to offer any surplus property to public sector agencies, but officials say there were no takers.
Meantime, two other vacant schools will also hit the market before long as the English Catholic board looks to unload the former St Vincent and Monsignor Uyen buildings.
Board officials say they’re still working on offering dates for the former St. Vincent Catholic School and Monsignor Uyen Catholic School, which will close at the end of June.
All three properties are surplus as a result of the new St. Angela Merici Catholic School in Chatham, which opened to students and staff last fall.
Staff and students at the current Monsignor Uyen site on Lark Street will relocate to the newly refurbished former Our Lady of Fatmia property on Baldoon Road, Chatham this coming September.
