If you’re going to break into a person’s home, job#1 is making sure it’s the right home.
A Chatham couple in their 30s failed in that effort as they forced their way into an apartment around 1am this morning only to discover their target didn’t live there.
Undaunted, the pair forced their way into another apartment, found their target and assaulted the man with a piece of wood, a golf club and a child’s scooter.
The pair fled the scene following the fight but were arrested a short time later.
The victim was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.
