A staff report will go to Chatham-Kent council Monday night outlining the costs of the pandemic to the municipality.
The early estimate so far is around 2 million.
That’s from lost revenues from closed facilities like arenas and indoor pools and rec centres.
Also tax deferrals.
The report will make several recommendations as to how to cut costs including reduced lawn maintenance and horticulture.
Also to skip hiring students this summer except in the public health department.
