Chatham-Kent’s population and infrastructure is aging, according to a recent study.
The BMA report, which compares 105 municipalities in Ontario, shows that Chatham-Kent’s population is down 1.3% over the past five years, with a large portion is over the age of 50.
It also shows that our infrastructure, specifically water and wastewater facilities, are older than other municipalities.
This information comes at a good time, with budget deliberations coming up next month.
