It’s not every kid who gets to hang out with the Premier.

17-year-old Carson Grail met Doug Ford back in August when the Premier was visiting the Children’s Treatment Centre. Carson is a long-time client of and advocate for the Treatment Centre, and his mon and dad sit on the CTC and CTC Foundation boards, respectively.

“We were in the gymnasium, secret service was bugging us, ‘Mr. Ford, Mr. Ford, you’ve got to go’ and he was just like, I’m talking to my buddy Carson.”

At the time, the Premier told Carson he was welcome to visit him in Toronto any time.

Yesterday, Carson and his dad took the Premier up on his offer, and spent half an hour visiting Queen’s Park.

“I gave him the whole binder of Tim Horton’s hockey cards,” Grail says. “He gave me a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey with the number one on it, he said I was his number one.”

Grail says he had a blast, and even got to sit in the Premier’s chair.
