A local online initiative is encouraging Chatham-Kent’s health care, front line and essential workers to “show us what ya got!”
“Chatham-Kent’s Essential Workers Have Talent” was launched on Facebook by local paramedic Dave Desmarais.
The Chatham native says the page is a way to showcase local talent and to have some good, clean fun.
PLUS – whether you have “real” talent… or a lack there of, everyone is encouraged to participate.
“Tell a joke, read a story, sing a song, lip sync, show that special goofy skill,” says Desmarais. “Or, if you sing off key, if you dance out of beat… have at it.”
Participants are asked to record a video and upload it to the “Chatham-Kent’s Essential Workers Have Talent” Facebook page. Sharing these videos and the page itself will be helpful to build the local database.
Additional options may become available once the COVID-19 crisis passes, including a potential showcase of local talent.
Desmarais reminds those taking part that staying home to record these videos is “essential”.
