Charges have been laid against a Chatham man, accused of assaulting his girlfriend.
Chatham-Kent Police say the two began arguing late yesterday afternoon when the man began calling the victim names and hit her.
The woman, who wasn’t seriously hurt, managed to leave the home and contact police.
The 48-year-old accused was arrested several hours later.
