A 73-year-old Chatham man faces charges of Impaired Driving and Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand.
Chatham-Kent Police say they arrested the man after a citizen reported a traffic complaint at approximately 8PM on Thursday night.
Police responded and initiated a traffic stop after the vehicle drove into a garbage can.
Through investigation, the officer believed that the man was driving his car while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The driver was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
He was released with a future court date.
