Impaired driving charges have been laid against a Chatham driver.
Just after 1 o’clock this morning, police pulled over a vehicle on Michener Road. Suspecting the man behind the wheel may have bene under the influence of alcohol, officers brought the accused back to police headquarters for tests.
A search of the accused turned up suspected hydromorphine.
The 38-year-old is charged with having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit and drug possession. He was released from custody with a date in court next month.
