Charges have been laid against a Chatham man after an altercation earlier this week at a local rooming house.
Chatham-Kent Police say the accused went to the facility on Wednesday looking for a room, but was refused service.
As the man was leaving, the manager noticed he was holding a baseball bat and a large butcher’s knife and called police.
Officers tracked down the 38-year-old, whom authorities say was under a court order from previous violent offences.
He’s now facing charges of breach of probation and possession of a concealed weapon.
