With Thanksgiving behind us, some are already planning ahead to the Christmas season.
Plans are in the works for this year’s CPKC Holiday Train, which is scheduled to pull into Chatham on Saturday, November 22, helping to raise money, food, and awareness to support local food banks.
The festive freight will be stopping behind the Holiday Inn and Suites on Richmond Street between 1:45pm and 2:15pm. This year’s entertainers include Smash Mouth and JJ Wilde.
Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the Holiday Train program has raised more than $26.1 million and collected approximately 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.
