Chatham Residents Arrested Following Lambton County Break In

Surveillance photo of fourth suspect sought by Lambton County OPP following an October 7th break and enter in Dawn-Euphemia Township.

Two Chatham residents are facing charges in connection to a break and enter at a Dawn-Euphemia Township business.

Lambton County OPP responded to Florence Road shortly after 5 o’clock Monday morning. Investigators say four people arrived at the property in a pickup truck earlier that morning, smashed the front window, and got away with roughly $10,000 worth of power tools.

A short time later, the suspect vehicle, which had been reported stolen from Strathroy, was found at a Jane Street address in Thamesville, but the suspects fled on foot.

Members of the OPP Canine and Emergency Response Team were joined by Chatham-Kent Police to help with the investigation.

Three suspects were found and taken into custody without incident. A 42-year-old and 38-year-old, both from Chatham, are charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence and possession of property obtained by crime over $5000. A Moravian First Nation resident is facing the same charges along with failing to comply with a release order.

The accused were remanded into custody following a bail hearing.

Authorities continue to search for the fourth suspect, who is described as standing about 5’5”-5’7” with an average build, and was wearing a light coloured hoodie and dark running shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS.)
