Chatham Sports Hall of Fame Welcomes the Class of 2022

Seven new names are being added to the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame.

The Class of 2022 is led by former CFL wide receiver Andy Fantuz, who won a Grey Cup with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2007. He and golfer Mike Woodcock are being inducted as modern athletes.

The late Beryl Ivey, who broke records as a high school track and field star in the 1930s and 40s, is being added to the Hall in the legend category.

Other inductees include Shelley Simonton, Gord Grace, Dave Preston, and the 2009 Stafford curling team from the Chatham Granite Club.

An induction ceremony and reception are being held at the Bradley Centre tonight.

The Chatham Sports Hall of Fame is located in Memorial Arena.
