A Chatham teen has been slapped with charges after a disturbance on Raleigh Street.
According to Chatham-Kent Police, a group of young people were walking down the street when one punched a for sale sign on the lawn of a home. A bystander confronted the teens when the accused allegedly pulled out a “flick” knife in a threatening manner.
Officers later tracked down the 16-year-old, who has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was released to a parent with conditions. He is expected to return to court in May.
