Chatham Vigil Begins Tonight

Area residents will be standing guard in Chatham for the next four days to mark the 100th anniversary of the WWI Armistice.

Beginning at 6 o’clock this evening, a 64-hour vigil will be held at the Chatham Cenotaph, paying tribute to local veterans leading up to Sunday’s Remembrance Day ceremonies.

Christ Church, with the support of Revera Retirement Living in Ridgetown and Blenheim, will be open 24 hours a day as a warming station with refreshments for participants.
