A 28 year old Chatham woman is facing an attempted murder charge following a stabbing incident Monday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent police say they received a disturbance call outside an apartment on Riverview Drive.
Two women who knew each other were involved in a verbal disagreement that turned physical.
A 30 year old Chatham woman was stabbed, and rushed to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with serious injuries.
The other woman fled the scene.
They found the woman in Ridgetown last night and took her into custody.
She was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
