Chatham Woman Facing Stunt Driving Charge

A Chatham woman will be without her vehicle for the next two weeks after she was allegedly caught driving more than double the speed limit.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Grand River Line in Dover Township at around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Authorities said the vehicle was clocked travelling 118 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

The 58-year-old accused has been charged with stunt driving. She was also issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension and her vehicle will be impounded for 14 days.
