A 20 year old Chatham woman is in serious condition in a London hospital following what CK police are describing as a violent assault.
About 1 o’clock this morning officers were called to a residence, and through investigation determined a 37 year old man had allegedly assaulted his girlfriend following an argument.
She was taken to CKHA, then transferred to London.
The man was charged with aggravated assault and forcible confinement. He was held pending a bail hearing.
