We know one local holiday hit will be returning this fall and winter.
The Armoury in Lights event at the Chatham Armoury will be back with a Christmas show, but are also adding a Halloween element to this fall.
Lisa Lester of Four Diamond Events is putting things together and is thrilled to be back bigger than ever for a 3rd straight year.
The first show runs October 14-30th, and the second December 5-12th.
There will be three shows a night, and last years event sold out in three days.
Lester says it will be a great chance for local artists to get involved.
“ We are going to create an illuminated pathway through that end of the park on the way to their parking spot. I’m looking for 10 talented artists, they can apply through the website in June, and these artists will be given $1,000 dollars apiece to create an amazing artistic installation that will be along this pathway.”
They are also looking for performers.
“ We are also looking for talented performers so once people get parked, we want to fill the stations with musicians, and dancers, baton twirlers, whatever their talent is, we are looking to have it showcased before the live show starts”.
They can apply at www.armouryfourdiamondevents.com Last years event drew 7,000 people, up 2,000 from the year before.
This year the goal it to attract 15,000.
