With a strong chance of thunderstorms on Canada Day, event organizers have moved Chatham’s celebrations from Tecumseh Park to inside the Chatham Cultural Centre.

Public safety is of utmost concern, which is the reason for moving the festivities inside. Organizers want to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable event.

Organizing host and Chatham-Kent Leamington MP Dave Van Kesteren says,

“We have such a great line up of fascinating stories to celebrate about our community, and so many volunteers have really come together to make this happen that we are determined to ensure that the show must go on.”
