Gateway Casinos and Entertainment continues to grapple with the fallout from a cyber security incident, first reported Sunday afternoon.
The company’s casinos across Ontario, including Cascades Casino in Chatham, will remain closed until at least tomorrow as the company works to restore its IT systems.
In an online statement posted late Wednesday night, officials say they have no evidence that any personal information was affected.
“We want to reiterate that we have notified the relevant privacy officials about the incident and are working hard at restoring our systems,” the statement on social media reads. “We appreciate the continued patience of our employees, customers and government partners as we work to reopen our properties in Ontario, and will continue to provide further updates to the public regarding our reopening.”
